It would seem that being upfront about your money - how much you have or how much you want - is becoming more acceptable these days. I have a lot of friends telling me about how worried they are of loosing their jobs.

I’m not just looking for the character attributes of a successful man, I’m also looking for the stability he can provide me, especially since the job market is so shaky.

Has anyone here been laid-off? Does anyone think it’s more important than ever to find a partner who is financailly stable?

I am feeling the residual anxiety of the men on Wall Street…

As an admitidly gorgeous young woman using a millionaire dating site, I can say definitevly that this whole stock market crash will probably be the cause of many’a prozac refills…

Every day it’s been the same story since the news hit; no replies to my emails, unless it’s a cancelation.

What happend? Are these romantic millionaire’s too focused on salvaging what’s left of their stock profiles to address the beautiful would-be wife material that I hope to be? I’m sure I’m being selfish, but if no one else talks about things from my personal perspective… who will?

The romance doesn’t end for stock market turmoil…

I would love to talk with Katie Couric right about now. I have a great topic for a report she can do on how the men once sure or at least somewhat confident about our economy are literally in a panic about our current state of meltdown.

I don’t know if I’m the only one feeling a bit anxious lately, but I am starting to think that if I’m not able to finish paying off my student loans within the next few weeks (completely impossible), the interests rates are bound to skyrocket.

How are the men you ask. Well, so far, it seems the subject doesn’t appear ’til about the 5th email. But it does come up. And if they’re in an industry that’s especially vulnerable, then you can bet they haven’t logged in for a few days.

So Katie - If your listening, feel free to give me one of my first comments and pitch a news coverage event for my story, and I may just get back to you with an offer (I’ll take my payment in silver, thank you).

I was just chatting with a guy I met on the site last night…

He’s a millionaire from Fort Worth Texas, and he just LOVES movies. Every time we’ve spoken it’s about a new movie or a great oldie. Luckily for him - I love movies too.

This is the first millionaire who hasn’t made me feel the least bit awkward. I think it’s a Texas thing… very straight forward, down-to-Earth. I like that :o)

As far as any other fish in my net… no bitters, just some nibbles here and there. I got a response from a man who lives less than 10 miles away from me, but he’s MARRIED! I told him that if he wants a no-strings-attached relationship, he should go to SeekingArrangement.com… but he insisted, “I AM looking for a long term, monogomous relationship” he says. We’ll see, I agreed to go on a date with him next weekend.

They’re not your average romantics…

They belong to one of two groups: The Haves or the Have Not’s

The “Have’s” are maverick business professionals, rich heirs and wealthy retirees. They may have been married before, but now it’s time to start fresh…

This time around, money will be addressed right from the start. The “Haves” are sick of pretending money won’t be an issue, so they’re putting their money on the table for the right person. It’s a prize on after the heart is fallen.

The “Have Not’s” are tired of dating those less ambitious than them, and are done giving chances. No more window shopping. No more dating lovers without a passion for life. Your determined to find that one person who has what you want, and want to become. You already have the picture of this person in your head. You know that they’ll be successful, this is one of your standards. The final reason… love. Oh, and then there’s that call to your girlfriend announcing that you’ve married a millionaire!!! J/K

Hi Everybody!

I know it’s been quite a while since I’ve posted, and believe me I have plenty of reasons for that being the case. Damion and I are essentially broken-up. I only mention that to clear the air, not to vent or express my feelings about him, because truth be told - if he starts out as a sugardaddy, it’s best for him to leave that way too. Basically, since I met him on SeekingArrangement, I knew that he wasn’t going to be interested in a committed and/or long-term relationship. As I’m typing this, I can hear all of the female role models and heroins I’ve known throughout my life, and they’re asking “what exactly do you do on a millionaire dating site?”, to that, I’d have to answer “I’m riding this wave wherever it takes me, and that’s hopefully to a better place than the couch of a Craigslist hookup’s apartment”.

I wonder what Mrs. Lori, my private home school teacher during my senior year of High School, would say about my online dating escapades? She’d probably ask: “So how’s THAT workin for ya?” — I don’t know exactly how I’d answer, but then again, that question would be rhetorical.

Dating Millionaires isn’t something that can “work” or “not work”, it’s not a button that when pressed, materializes a millionaire boyfriend on bent knee. Instead, I think dating for specific outcomes, like a relationship with a financially secure, refined and chivalrous gentleman as opposed to any Joe Shmo on Insta-Match.com could be a smart way of ensuring your standards are met. I’m not wasting time anymore, I know what I want, and I deserve what I want.

Which is how I came to the decision to leave San Francisco. I’m also taking a holiday from my online dating habit (which has now gotten to the point of officially re-directing my entire life).

Then again, maybe I’ll hit it off with one of the wealthy single men from this site… *have a date with one on Sunday*
